Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (TIMB) has urged contracting companies to provide farmers with adequate coal to complement their curing activities as they prepare for the 2023 selling season.

In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News TIMB public affairs officer Chelesani Tsarwe said this will help curb deforestation.

Farmers with early irrigated tobacco are currently curing the crop and most farmers often resort to the use of wood in their activities.
