A Gokwe man Elias Mjobi (52) of Siyamuninga Village, Chief Nenyunga has been arrested after he was found in possession of fourteen elephant tusks valued at 5 516 United States dollars.
In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News Acting Provincial Community Relations Liaison Officer (CID), detective assistant inspector Rachael Muteweri, said the suspect was arrested following a tip-off by members of the public.
It is a crime in Zimbabwe for an individual to possess or trade in elephant tasks without a valid license.
