President Mnangagwa has expressed concern over delays in amending the Disabled Persons Act, despite the principles having been crafted 3 years ago.
Addressing guests at a joint launch of the National Disability and the Labour Migration policies, in Harare on Tuesday, President Mnangagwa challenged responsible authorities, to fast track the necessary legislative processes, to promote inclusion in developmental programmes.
Meanwhile, people with disabilities have welcomed the launch of the National Disability policy, saying it will go a long way in promoting their mainstreaming, across all sectors.
The two policies launched on Tuesday, are expected to enhance the safe and legal movement of labour, and the promotion of disability rights, as enshrined in the constitution and international conventions, the country is a signatory to.
