The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) says it has made adequate logistical preparations to conduct by-elections in vacant national assembly and local authority seats this Saturday.

In an interview with Star FM News, ZEC spokesperson Commissioner Jasper Mangwana said procurement of all ballot material is now complete.

Meanwhile ZEC has announced withdrawal of 4 candidates from Saturdays by -elections. Josephat Chigaro, Charles Chipetu and Rungwave Munetsi all of the MDC-Alliance pulled out of by-elections in ward 14 Chinhoyi, Masvingo ward 7 and Chiredzi ward 16 respectively while Bekithemba Nyathi withdrew from contesting under the Citizens Coalition for Change in Bulawayo's ward 9.
