National Covid-19 Taskforce Chief Coordinator Dr Agnes Mahomva says Government has established an intra-action review document on Covid-19 which highlights the country’s major milestones and challenges in its national response to the pandemic.

In an interview with Star FM News, two years after the country witnessed its first Covid-19 case, Dr Mahomva said focus is on the country to continuously strengthen its capacity to deal with the virus and other health challenges that may emerge in the future.

Dr Mahomva also reiterated that vaccination remains the only scientifically proven method of prevention against Covid-19.

On March 20, 2020, the country recorded its first Covid-19 infection in a 39-year-old Caucasian male resident of Victoria Falls who had travelled to Manchester, United kingdom.
