President Emmerson Mnangagwa has officially opened the Zimbabwe-Rwanda Trade and Investment Conference in Harare with a call for increased trade volumes and cooperation between the two countries.

In his address, the President tasked the Rwanda Trade Board and Zimtrade to take advantage of cordial relations between Harare and Kigali to produce goods that can compete on the international market.

Speaking at the same occasion, Rwandan Trade and Industry Minister Beata Habyarimana said the second edition of the conference must ensure that all previous and current Memoranda of Understanding between Zimbabwe and Rwanda are implemented.

Three agreements to boost trade and investment at Government level as well as private sectors were signed at the conference, which is running under the theme, ‘Explore, Invest, Export’.
