Zimbabwe is set to benefit from a multi million dollar railway system and dry port facility to further improve the country's import and export drive.
This came out after a meeting between a three member delegation from one of the largest global marine terminal operators - DP World from Dubai and President Emmerson Mnangagwa in Harare this Wednesday.
Addressing the media after the meeting, the company's chief executive officer and managing director for Middle East and Africa, Mr Suhail Albanna said plans are to expand the Zimbabwe Mozambique trade corridor through Maputo.
Meanwhile, Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister, Felix Mhona who accompanied the delegation said a technical team from the company is already in the country mapping implementation of the project.
The development comes as Zimbabwe has been attracting foreign investors seeking to inject capital in various sectors to boost the economy.
