Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Dr John Bhasera says government is impressed by massive capital being injected in the horticultural sector, saying it positions the industry to hit a $1 billion United States dollar mark in a few years.
Dr Bhasera said this after touring a horticultural venture - Selby Enterprise farm in Mazowe, Mashonaland Central Province yesterday.
Government launched the horticultural recovery and growth plan in 2020 as part of efforts to transform agriculture from a 5.2 billion us dollar to an 8.2 billion us dollar sector by 2025.
