Authorities say about 3,8 million people country wide face food insecurity during the peak hunger period between January to March 2023 and have activated a response plan which will entail release of 120 000 tonnes of maize from the strategic grain reserve, among other nutritional support interventions for the affected groups.
This was revealed by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa during a post Cabinet media briefing this Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Minister Mutsvangwa also urged all provinces to be on high alert for measles, regional poliomyelitis and global moneybox.
