At least $US1,5 million set aside to support disaster management programmes

At least $US1,5 million has been set aside by an international aid agency, to strengthen disaster preparedness structures and systems in parts of Manicaland and Matabeleland North provinces.

This was announced by Care International Zimbabwe Country Director, Patrick Sikana during a media engagement ahead of the organisation’s 30th anniversary celebrations tomorrow (Thursday)

Manicaland and Matabeleland North provinces are disaster prone areas with the former facing cyclones while the latter experiences ravaging droughts.
