President Emmerson Mnangagwa is currently attending the 41st Ordinary Summit of The Southern African Development Community (SADC) heads of State and Government in Lilongwe Malawi. 

The meeting being held under the theme : bolstering productive capacities in the face of the covid19 pandemic for inclusive, sustainable, economic and industrial transformation, has seen Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera, assume chairmanship of the bloc taking over from Mozambican leader Phillipe Nyusi. 

Discussions at the summit include measures to tackle the covid-19 pandemic, promoting regional integration, trade and peace among other issues. 

Meanwhile Zimpapers Television Network reporter Munyaradzi Chamalimba, has scooped the second prize in the 2021 SADC media awards, television category.
