Government says compensation of former farm owners under the global compensation deed, will commence early next year. 

This was said by Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube in his opening remarks on behalf of President Mnangagwa at the inaugural dialogue platform meeting between government and representatives from Friends of the State.

In July 2020, government signed the global compensation deed with the former farmers whose land was gazetted for resettlement of landless indigenous Zimbabweans.
