National flag carrier Air Zimbabwe says the introduction of other airlines in the country enhances competitiveness and allows it to forge partnerships for its growth.
In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News Air Zimbabwe acting board Chairperson Ruth Hungwe said the airline is not intimidated by the coming on board of other airlines as service provision is guided by the single African airline transport market agreement to which zimbabwe is signatory.
She was speaking on the sidelines of the 2022 Air Zimbabwe annual general meeting held in Harare recently.
Zimbabwe has witnessed increased interest in its air space with more global airlines flying into the country, a development that has been a major boost to the tourism sector.
