Disability organisations have applauded efforts being implemented by government in ensuring that braille is fully recognised.
In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News yesterday as Zimbabwe marked World Braille Day Signs of Hope Trust director Samantha Sibanda, Albino Trust of Zimbabwe director Bruce Nyoni and African Union of the Blind Human Rights and Advocacy Officer Abraham Mateta said the recognition of braille fosters inclusivity.
The country has made significant strides in ensuring access to information for all and recently Air Zimbabwe launched an inflight braille safety card and magazine to cater for those who are blind.
